The SQUIGGLE collection is about playing with form. The shape of the openwork swirl was created from creative scribbles - freehand drawings by the designer Marta Morawska-Omalecka, with whom we co-create the series. These are mirrors full of creative energy, into the depths of which your world penetrates. It is an invitation to create, redefine and cross boundaries.
The SQUIGGLE BLUE mirror is a mirror note - an irregular shape of silver layer enriched with an energetic accent of cobalt blue.
SQUIGGLE BLUE can be a source of creative, out-of-the-box thinking about an object as such. Modern glass processing and the artisanal technique of silvering create a mirror with a form far from obvious. The possibility of hanging in four different directions gives you the opportunity to choose and change the visual effect. The form of the mirror influences its strong connection with the space in which it is placed, which emphasizes its unique character. The mirror is both a functional element of interior design and an original, unique decoration.
An irregularly shaped mirror surface with naturally obtained grays on soft, delicate edges, enclosed in an irregular shape. The mirror is made using the silver pouring technique, invented in the 19th century, which allows the creation of a very thin layer of silver and thus obtaining a mirror made of silver-plated glass. This is a technique that provides great opportunities for individual mirror design.
In the SQUIGGLE BLUE mirror the precedence is given to matter.
The irregular shape of the mirror illustrates the creation process itself, where the silvering solution spreads on the glass surface. The shape of the mirror surface obtained on the glass is largely controlled thanks to manual skills and the knowledge of technique. The rest is left... coincidence, the sum of physical and chemical phenomena taking place precisely at the time that silver settles on the glass.
Each of our mirrors is unique.
It is a signed craft item with an individual, unique design. Due to the handmade technique used, it is impossible to replicate the decor pattern accurately.
