The BLUEORB mirror is a combination of traditional manufacturing techniques with modern design.

Its decisive form and delicate blue coloring blend perfectly into modern interiors. The mirror's graphic composition attracts attention and makes the mirror an essential element in the interior design.

The mirror is created using the silver pouring technique, invented in the 19th century. This technique involves applying a thin layer of silver onto a pane of glass to create a mirror. Silver pouring and tarnishing are entirely done by hand and require much manual skill and knowledge.

The corrosive solution is applied to the silvered surface by agitating a drop of the solution with a paintbrush, which results in the formation of unique patterns and shapes.

This dripping technique of corroding the mirror leads to a different tarnishing pattern each time, creating a unique and individual mirror design. This technique offers vast opportunities to elaborate a mirror décor in an individual fashion.

Each of our mirrors is unique.

It is a signed craft item with an individual, unique design. Due to the handmade technique used, it is impossible to replicate the decor pattern accurately.

Technique

Handcrafted in the technique of silver pouring on 4 mm-thick tinted AGC Glass Europe Planibel Dark Blue glass. The back of the mirror is specially varnished, enameled, and coated with protective foil. The mirror is glued to a mass-colored, waterproof chipboard with a diameter 10 cm smaller than the mirror - the board's edge recedes 5 cm about the mirror edge. A suspension hook is embedded in the board.

Mirrors are made to order.

Each mirror in the series differs from the others and from the one presented in the photo. The size, shape, type and color of glass as well as the type of finish and decor are constant. Each time raw transparent glass is silvered and decorated based on the features of a given series. The product is packed in a plywood box. A mounting pin is included.
