DOBRY DESIGN 2023
As part of the 4 Design Days event, the Good Design competition takes place every year in January, where hundreds of products are submitted for awards in 12 different categories. Our Squiggle mirror was nominated in the Decoration category and made it to the Top 5 finalists. We were delighted to showcase our mirror at the exhibition of all the nominated products in the competition this year.
Squiggle is a mirror object that was designed in collaboration with Marta Morawska-Omalecka. The shape of the object was created by playing with lines, free sketches, creative es-flores and scribbles. The mirror is made using the pouring silver technique, which involves handcrafting it on discolored glass that is cut with water and then polished by hand. The mirror is placed on a moisture-resistant black MDF board, and the built-in pendants allow it to hang in four different directions, giving us the ability to influence its existence and reception in a given space. Squiggle is an object that defies the definition of a traditional mirror, with its unique and unconventional form.
